Function Description:
The automatic air and water separator is a device that separates non-condensable gases and water. It can quickly and effectively separate and remove non-condensable gases and water from the refrigeration system.
Non-condensable gases (mainly air) present in the refrigeration system will cause the system condensing pressure to increase; while water present in the refrigeration system will cause the refrigerant's boiling point to increase. This will cause the system to require a lower evaporation pressure to maintain the correct refrigerant evaporation temperature, and lower evaporation
pressure means that the unit's energy efficiency (COP) will decrease; at the same time, air and water have poor thermal conductivity, reducing the cooling capacity of the entire refrigeration system. With unchanged heat load, the compressor's operating time is prolonged. The extended compressor operating time correspondingly increases the total energy consumption of the system's annual operation.
Therefore, removing air and water from the refrigeration system can effectively reduce system operating energy consumption and save electricity costs. Practical experience has proven that the correct installation of Hansen's automatic air and water separator can save refrigeration system electricity consumption by about 10% or more.
