As the original automatic air separator, the AP automatic air separator uses solid-state control and is ideal for large systems, up to 1500 tons (5275 kW).

The AP has at least two to three times the venting capacity of other comparable products and ten times that of other small venters. AP venters are available with 8, 16, and 24 separation points and feature electronically controlled automatic start-up. Vent points are individually adjustable to meet system requirements. Includes an automatic water purger; NEMA 4 enclosure is also optional.

A European model is also available, featuring an all-welded construction and meeting European electrical standards.

The AP is CSA certified. Models are available for ammonia or halocarbon refrigeration.

The number of venters required for a system depends on the number of vent points installed. The maximum practical number of vent points per separator is twenty-four.
